The Noisettes haven't exactly been under my radar since Don't Upset the Rhythm (Go Baby Go), but they've an upcoming release for the fancy shmancy Doc Martens 50th anniversary, and it's REALLY VERY GOOD. Shingai and the lads cover an amazing 1978 punk/rock track from the Buzzcocks called Ever Fallen In Love, and they have done it JUSTICE. The electro synthpop rehash of the record is more relaxed and soulful, and Shingai's vocals work perfectly. The Noisettes converted a song that expired in terms of relevance and introduced a completely different perspective that caters to the new generation and also satisfies long-time Buzzcocks fans.
