Reflection Eternal, as made clear from the single art above, is a hip hop duo involving rapper Talib Kweli and producer Tony Cottrell aka Hi-Tek. They've been around the music scene since 2000 when they released Train of Thought, which peaked at #17 on the Billboard 200. Now, ten years later, Reflection Eternal are set to release Revolutions Per Minute on May 18th, and they've given us a pretty good idea of what the album will sound like after releasing four singles.

Midnight Hour will be the fifth single off Revs Per Min as I'd like to call it, and it features American Boy singer Estelle. Like their previous singles, the brass instruments are blaring in the background, and Estelle's raspy vocals definitely adds the old-school soul element to it. The blend of retro and hip hop works pretty well in the record, and I'm a sucker for rap and R&B collaborations with jazzy productions.
