We all love a little Esmée, don't we? (I certainly do.)

German rock band Stanfour enlisted the help of the lovely Dutch popstrel in Life Without You, the second single off their sophomore effort Rise and Fall, which peaked at #9 on the German albums chart. I honestly wouldn't have guessed this band was anything other than American based on the song, because it fits in pretty well in the pop/rock scene of the States. It's a beautiful rock ballad in itself, and the addition of Esmée's amazing smooth vocals is just the cherry on top. Am I the only one noticing the lack of these type of songs in the charts lately? Oh, and check out my interview with the songstress herself.

Before I get into it, let me just say... OMGWTFBBQ PINCH ME I MUST BE DREAMING *HYPERVENTILATES INTO HYSTERIA*

Okay then.

As my Twitter followers and Facebook friends might already know, I have been stalking keeping myself updated on the lovely lady that is Esmée Denters. For those who don't have the slightest clue about her, Esmée started singing her heart out on YouTube, until a gajillion people were watching her videos and POOF! Before we could even finish saying "OMG THERE'S THIS AWESOME SINGER ON YOUTUBE NAMED ESMÉE", Justin Timberlake already signed her to a very new Tennman Records, JT's very own label under Universal, and thus becoming its pioneer artist. From then on, the Dutch popstrel wrote and recorded her debut album Outta Here, which peaked at #5 on Netherlands' albums chart, and her single under the same name traveled around Europe, scoring a #7 on the UK chart, a #3 in Hungary, and sneaked in Ireland's top 20. Not bad, eh? My hands are shaking as I type this, so it's best I get on to our little interview.

Silly, passionate, clumsy!

How does it feel like to be known internationally now when at one point in your life you were waiting tables and doing odd jobs?

It feels pretty good. Getting to do what I love everyday is a blessing. It also is a blessing for the people at the restaurant. I was a pretty bad waitress! LOL.

What do you miss most when you're away from the Netherlands?

Gouda!

How important are sites like YouTube and MySpace to aspiring artists?

It is very important for an artist because they can create their own fan base which is really powerful. It means that you no longer need a record label to discover talent.

For those who haven't heard your songs yet, what should they expect?

I have written most of the songs on the record so it's very personal. Some songs are about being a young girl taking charge and having a good time while others are a bit deeper were I show my vulnerable side. But overall I would describe it mostly as a pop/r&b record.

Is a second album in the works? Any details you might share with us?

It's the UK MIDWEEKS! Diana Vickers told Digital Spy she'd be #1 next week, but things aren't looking bright as Once slips down two spots, behind Usher's OMG and a new entry from Roll Deep, Good Times, which is at the tip of the pyramid. Plan B remains strong at #4, while Chip and Esmée slip down two spots to #5. In the albums, however, Usher is set for a #1 UK debut with Raymond VS Raymond, with Plan B's The Defamation of Strickland Banks and Glee's The Power of Madonna trailing behind.

In other news, the gang from Cobra Starship premiered their self-proclaimed "viral video", called Living in the Sky With Diamonds, which is actually pretty good. Check it out here.

FINALLY! It's here! The highly anticipated (by me) video of Love Dealer. I've practically said everything that needs to be said about Esmée Denters, but Love Dealer COULD be the single that will establish her in the US music industry. And with JT on her side, hey, she can't go wrong. I am officially Esméerized! (Call me cheesy or whatever)

The lovely little popstrel from 2008's The X Factor stormed the UK singles charts with debut single Once, knocking off Usher's OMG from the #1 spot. If you remember (probably not), Diana Vickers' Once was our song of the day way back in March 21, and since then I've expressed my anticipation of Songs from the Tainted Cherry Tree, the album due out on May 3rd. Based on the sampler that has been going around the web, this is going to be one album worth the wait. The possibility of BOTH Once and Songs from the Tainted Cherry Tree taking over the singles and albums charts isn't a long shot, so we'll see that in a couple of weeks.

Another song I'm quite fond of is Chip 'n Esmée's Until You Were Gone, which settled at #3 on the UK charts, being #2 during the midweeks, making it the 4th track from I Am Chipmunk to break the top ten. A very peculiar re-entry is legend Tina Turner's The Best, which dates way way way back to 1989, thanks to a campaign by the Rangers FC to get her to #1.

So I've been heavy on the Esmée Denters hype these past couple of days, and who could blame me? Love Dealer is one helluva catchy song, infectious all throughout, and extremely "loopable". The video is looking to be no less than impressive, so stay tuned for the premiere on April 28th on VEVO!

Justin Timberlake features on his pop prodigy's upcoming uptempo track, Love Dealer. Esmée Denters, a Dutch singer/songwriter and YouTube sensation, is one of the first artists signed onto JT's label, Tennman Records. Her album Outta Here has been released in various European countries and has peaked at #5 on the Dutch charts. Recently, Esmée has collaborated with UK rapper Chipmunk in his track Until You Were Gone, currently #2 on iTunes. Entertainment Tonight has an exclusive sneak peek at the video, including a short talk with JT and Esmée.
